Module 1
Find your Coast FI number
The one number that tells you when you can stop grinding
How to work out the amount that grows into a full retirement on its own, with your real salary and age, in about ten minutes.
For RNs and NPs who want work to be a choice
Without picking up overtime, without a finance degree, and without guessing what to invest in.
The Coast FI Method
Nobody taught us. Not in nursing school, not at onboarding, not in the benefits meeting where someone reads slides about a 403(b) while we're thinking about our next shift. So most of us put a little into the work plan, pick up overtime when we feel nervous, and quietly assume we'll be doing 12s until 60.
Here's what nobody tells you. You don't need to save for 30 more years. You need to reach one number, the amount that grows into a full retirement on its own, and after that, every shift becomes a choice.
That's The Coast FI Method. Find your Coast FI number, put your paycheck on autopilot in the right order, then use the gap to buy back your shifts. It's how I went from paycheck to paycheck to working because I want to, and it's what this program walks you through, with your numbers.
The six months
Today
Money goes into the work plan and nowhere else. Overtime feels like the only safety net.
Weeks 1 to 3
Your Freedom Map is built for you, and you see your Coast FI number and your date for the first time.
Month 2
Every account is open, in the right order, and automated, so investing happens without willpower.
Months 3 to 5
Benefits fixed, taxes lowered, raise negotiated. More money lands in the right place every pay period.
Month 6
You have a written plan for dropping a shift, going per diem or going part time, and you've planned for every step.
By the end of month six
The curriculum
Module 1
Find your Coast FI number
How to work out the amount that grows into a full retirement on its own, with your real salary and age, in about ten minutes.
Module 2
Put your paycheck on autopilot
Match, HSA, Roth, 457(b): which accounts come first for a nurse, and how to automate it so investing happens without willpower.
Module 3
Make bedside optional
What changes the day you're Coast FI, and how nurses use it to go to two 12s, go per diem or go part time.
Module 0 sorts the basics first: your money foundations, your debt plan and your money mindset.
What's included
Self-paced. Module 0 money foundations, then Find your Coast FI number, Put your paycheck on autopilot and Make bedside optional.
You know your number, your order and your date, in plain nurse math.
90 minutes with me every week. Bring your numbers, your benefits package or your scary question.
You're never stuck on a decision about your money for more than a week.
You fill in a short intake. My team builds your personal Coast FI number, your paycheck order and the date you can drop a shift, then walks you through it on a 1:1 call.
A written plan made for your salary, your age and your hospital, before week three.
A coach goes through your hospital's 403(b), 457(b), match, HSA and pension with you, line by line.
No more free money left on the table, and no more guessing which box to tick.
A live session with a licensed planner and accountant on the moves that lower a nurse's tax bill.
You keep more of every paycheck you already earn.
Plug in your number and your schedule, and it shows what one fewer shift a week really costs you.
You know when cutting back fits your plan, before you ask your manager.
The full Academy, community and monthly workshops, included.
A room full of nurses on the same path, so you're not figuring this out alone.
Bonuses
A 1:1 with a coach to plan the exact conversation with your manager, before you have it.
What I actually invest in and why, so you can see a real nurse's plan instead of a textbook one.
A session with a financial therapist on the money blocks most of us picked up growing up.

Why this, why now
Why me
I'm a nurse practitioner with an MSN from UC Davis and more than 15 years in nursing, from the ICU to my own patient panel. I'm also a Certified Financial Education Instructor.
I learned this on a nurse's salary, with student loans and credit card debt, and I teach it the way I wish someone had taught me.
Why now
The money you invest in your 30s does the heavy lifting for your 60s. A year of waiting is a year of growth you don't get back, no matter how many shifts you pick up later.
Each cohort is capped at 25 nurses, because my team builds every Freedom Map by hand.
25 nurses per cohort
From the Academy
"The weekly coaching calls pushed me not to put off learning the content, and having a community of nurses like me means I don't feel alone in this."
"It's more than a course on investing. It helped me start by tracking my finances, and I couldn't believe how much mindset affects money. Now I feel confident investing."
"Honestly, every nurse or healthcare provider should take this. It will save you tons of time and help you become financially free."
"I wish I had enrolled months ago. I understand the stock market now, and how to plan for retirement. It was an investment that gave me real knowledge."
The guarantee
Show up and do the work for 90 days. If you don't have your Coast FI number, your paycheck automated and a written plan to cut your hours, we keep coaching you, free, until you do.
